Steps
Tools, materials and equipment required:
Sharp knife for cutting packaging
Marking spray paint, spirit/ dumpy level
Flat nosed shovel and crowbar
Small Excavator
Equipment
Machinery to lift Air Jumper™ from delivery truck and to dig holes and footings. Minimum 1.5 tonne excavator.
Engineering
Min. Ground bearing capacity to be verified by an engineer at 150Kpa.
General
All work to be performed in accordance with relevant design standards, local building/construction codes and site safety legislation
Locate all services and conduct BYDA (Before You Did Australia) or use a professional locator.
For deliveries to site ensure adequate machinery is available to lift the units from the truck that may weigh over 100 kgs. Store in a dry secure area prior to installation.
Add 500mm to the plan dimensions of the relevant Air Jumper™ model shown in spec sheets. Mark out area for the Air Jumper™ on the ground using spray paint ensuring minimum distance between units or other playground equipment is maintained as per nominal fall zones or project playground design.
Excavate this area to 400mm deep plus depth of the softfall on the sides and falling inwards to 500mm deep in the centre below finished mat level. Ensure edges of excavation are smooth and consistent.
Agg line to be placed centre of excavated area with protected geofabric.
Install blue metal to perimeter of unit falling to low point for drainage.
Rake material away from all four edges.
Lower the unit into place using suitable equipment and ensure the folded steel edges/feet are bearing directly on the footing with correct finished height and level.
Fit 50mm thick and 100mm high concrete to secure unit.
Back fill with excavated soil moderately compacting every 100mm layer to the same as the compaction as the surrounding ground.
Test jump on the unit with the mat cover remaining in place with no shoes to check for stability.
Supply and install soft fall (by others) to the perimeter of the unit completely covering the steel frame. If wetpour rubber softfall surround egdes are supplied, the finished ground surface is to finish flush and neatly against the top of the rubber surround ensuring no trip hazard exists. Note: surrounding finished surfaces are to drain away from the Air Jumper™ pit. I.e the pit is not to be used for local drainage.
Installer to take a minimum of three photos of the installation process as well as completed photos for warranty purposes and email to info@universalplay.com.au
